Oblong 4to., backed in green cloth, with brown cloth strip to inner margins of boards, onto which is laid down a green textured paper with botanical design, with publisher’s gilt-lettered black paper label to front board, 60 engraved plates including pictorial title, being a compilation of plates from the 1786 and 1807 editions: the 1786 edition comprised 52 plates, of which 30 are included here, with a further 29 from the 1807 edition, plus pictorial title, plates drawn by T. Hearne and engraved by W. Byrne (et al); light foxing (pale, and largely but not exclusively to margins of plates), otherwise internally fairly crisp and very good, with rubbing to paper covering…
