First edition thus, 8vo.,pp. xi,76, blue cloth, with dark blue lettering to spine, b/w woodcuts, colour woodcut to frontispiece; ownership inscription to front free endpaper, foxing and toning to endpapers and to edges, webbing visible occasionally to inner hinge, a very good copy, in a good unclipped pictorial dust-jacket, which is foxed and rubbed with creasing to spine, wear to corners and to head of spine, with creased tears to rear upper margin.

Bayntun/Riviere binding, 8vo., pp.269,(i), bound into navy calf by Bayntun/Riviere, with decorated gilt spine and inner dentelles, five raised bands, red gilt-lettered label to spine, t.e.g., marbled endpapers with binder’s gilt device in leather to front paste-down endpaper, decorative title, b/w plates, illustrations and head- and tailpieces; a fine copy.

First edition thus, small 8vo., pp.174, half dark brown morocco with 5 raised bands and gilt borders to compartments, lettering gilt, paper-covered boards with checked design, a.e.g., frontispiece and 7 further dichromatic plates, as well as numerous in-text illustrations and decorations; rubbing and light wear to extremities, professional repair to headband and upper joint (small area of gilt to upper compartment missing), with upper corner of rear board worn and re-touched, small closed tear to front free endpaper, foxing to frontispiece recto, otherwise internally fresh, and overall a very good copy of this scarce volume.
