Oblong 4to., pp.(iv),14,16,16,16, cloth-backed pictorial paper-covered boards, plates and vignettes hand-coloured by Busch; foxing to margins throughout, wear to extremities, with loss to paper covering of front board at lower margin, a good(+) copy of this scarce hand-coloured edition. The second title Cat and Mouse appears to be lacking page 13 although there is no sign it has ever been there.

First edition, scarce, 8vo., 20pp. of advertisements to rear of volume, text and pictures unpaginated, b/w illustrations, b/w frontispiece, pictorial title page; pictorial blue cloth, image to front board blocked in cream and black with black lettering, lettered in black to spine; ownership autograph written within the Gaskin illustrated pictorial ex-libris printed onto paste-down endpaper, webbing visible to inner hinge of front and rear where endpapers have slightly come away, fragile but all contents firm, rubbing to extremities of boards, cloth slightly faded and toned, otherwise a very good copy. No dust-jacket.
