First edition, square folio, pp.(liv) unpaginated, recased in black cloth, preserving original covers, which are pasted down to boards, pochoir colour plates throughout, designed by Legrand and hand-coloured by Jean Saudé, colour endpapers, printed on Bellenand Lafuma paper (the ‘Lafuma’ mark visible to front cover); light wear to page edges, with closed tears to margins of paste-down endpapers, and light loss to corners of cover image, light toning to margins, crease to lower corners towards rear of volume, the stencil designs remaining vivid and bright, a near- to very good copy, housed in a black cloth solander case, with facsimile reproduction of front cover pasted down to front panel.
