First edition thus, 4to., cream paper-covered boards, gilt, with inlaid circular colour plate to front board, tipped-in colour frontispiece and 5 further colour plates, 18 tipped-in b/w plates, 14 tipped-in b/w plates with colour accents, and 39 vignettes; small ink ownership inscription (dated 1920) to upper margin of front free endpaper, light toning/foxing to endpapers, otherwise internally fresh and very good indeed (plates are fine and without creasing), toning to spine and margins of boards, small closed tear to headband, light vertical crease to spine, light marking to boards (small water stain to front board, and extensive water-stain to rear board), rubbing and slight wear to extremities, overall a very good copy.
